Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for healthcare software applications, including electronic health records (EHRs), patient management systems, and clinical decision support tools.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of healthcare software products.
- Conduct functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing to identify defects and ensure proper functioning of software features.
- Verify compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and industry best practices, including HIPAA, HL7, ICD-10, and Meaningful Use criteria.
- Perform validation testing for software updates, patches, and enhancements to ensure that changes do not adversely affect system integrity or patient safety.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HL7, and ICD-10.
- Experience with testing electronic health records (EHRs), practice management systems, and other healthcare software solutions.
- Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and executing manual and automated tests.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify and prioritize critical issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
